Daniella + Geordie | Ritz Carlton Las Colinas

Ringing in the New Year with style and grace for this Ritz Carlton Dallas wedding! We are excited to share Daniella & Geordie’s Greek, NYE wedding at the Ritz Carlton Las Colinas. The newly renovated ballroom is gorgeous and we were honored to be one of the first teams to execute such a stunning design. Our inspiration was moody, romantic lighting paired with textures like velvet, heavy foliage and shimmering textiles. A clean and crisp winter palette of green, gold and black was the theme of the day/night. This Ritz Carlton Dallas wedding is too die for! <3

Gretchen & Kyle | Private Ranch Wedding

When two outdoor seeking people fall head over bootheels in love, you know they are bound for a wedding adventure. And that’s precisely what wedding guests got for Gretchen & Kyle’s wedding weekend… a crazy beautiful wedding adventure. While the couple lives in Cali, they knew immediately they would be Texas bound for their wedding festivities since the family of the bride has an incredible family ranch to host the affair. It all started with glamping tents set for the bridal party, shooting clay for the groom & groomsmen and ATV excursions over the vast 1000+ acres of the family Woodson ranch. This celebration is chock full of southern charm and detail. A little back story and important detail of our very sweet and beautiful bride… Gretchen is Type 1 diabetic and has so articulately crafted a following as an influencer and promoter for those touched by Type 1. She uses her platform for both playful love and life but also open and honest dialogue about her struggles and how she has overcome them continuing to inspire those in her same circles. She has truly touched our team with her light within and love for those around here. What an honor to give Gretch the wedding of her dreams. 🙂

Friday night before the big day, our team crafted the most romantic rehearsal dinner. With a barn light up, hay bales surrounding over sized fire pits and a real chuckwagon outdoor chef, the guests experienced first hand how a cowboy makes sour dough biscuits from scratch while cattle roam free nearby. It was casual night of toasting by the fire, bellowing laughter and eating under the Texas night sky.
The big day had arrived and shuttles picked up the wedding guests in Mule Alley outside Hotel Drover. Another node to the west, a preview of what guests can expect for the rest of the day. With it’s roughly bricked alleys and elevated western vibe, out of state guests enjoyed spots like the Side Saddle Saloon for a spirit the night before. Our couple thought after each decision with the upmost intent.
As guests loaded up and headed to the ranch, our design team was underway to create the production. Our overall design was a modern mix to western living. It’s a juxtaposition of textures like rattan in chargers and chandeliers with modern and monochromatic floral in white. I wanted the mood to coexist with the nature surrounding. Gretchen & Kyle are youthful and currently live in Cali so I also wanted to marry that West Coast vibe with Texas landscape.
Upon arriving to the ranch, guests were transported by hay bale tractors down to the ceremony site which was one of the couple’s favorite spots on the stretch of land. It was a small landing with a cliff and overlook to a pond below. Along the hay bale ride everyone was given a little Texas small batch Tequila to taste. The ceremony kept simple with a blooming aisle of babies breathe and long stem white floral.
After the ceremony, guests head to the cocktail hour where longhorns are waiting for selfies and little burros are packed with beers for grabs.
Then dinner and dancing in a clear top tent under the stars. BUT we can’t forget our two most favorite details of the night. Our assigned seating was comprised of custom bandanas with the ranch brand.. one for each guest. To make it even more personal, a chain stitcher there onsite to personalize each. (a little nod to the bride’s own business of hand stitching her merch – check her out @TYPEoneTYPEhappy)
Topped with an awesome show of fireworks and live painter, each moment was crafted with love.

Carly & Javier | The Mason Dallas

Having wedding plans derailed by a pandemic was the last thing on Carly’s mind as she dreamed of her large, ballroom wedding overlooking the Dallas skyline. The plan was to bring all their family together from New York, to Ohio, all the way to El Salvador. Very few were local, so this wedding was BIG deal to the family as getting together was proven to be quite difficult. With a year of planning underway and a date set for March of 2020, the world was changed in the blink of an eye. The bride’s venue was cancelled and travel bans affected almost her entire guest list. Even though there was no Plan C (Covid) at the time, our team quickly went to work. We, first, determined how many people could actually attend so that we could find an appropriate new venue. Our new number was 30. Thirty of the bride and groom’s closest local friends and family. We reserved The Mason, a recently renovated and historic venue in Dallas. The venue itself was inspiring for the day, and lended so much in the way of detail. Setting our new date in August, we then were able to shift our entire team over and “new plan” was in full effect. It was a creative plan to say the least. 🙂 The bride and groom spent the entire day at the old mansion, getting ready, enjoying time with their small group. The idea was to have a really relaxed day.

Under a chuppah, made by family friends, they were united and took a moment to sign their ketubah with a few witnesses. After their intimate ceremony, guests sipped on champagne and looked on as the couple had their special dances. A moment NOT to be missed. Following they cut their cake and mingled with guests. The bride and groom didn’t want to fuss with the details of holding a dinner reception. Another reminder of their original wedding plans that had been halted. Instead, we worked with the catering vendor to take the deposit that has been paid and use it towards an in home dinner experience. So when our festivities at the Mason were completed, the small group headed to the private home of the bride & groom for a lovely lowkey night. In times such as these, we are reminded of the beauty in the simple gestures and small gatherings. ❤️
