Birthday celebrations should always be big! My little Rue only turns 4 once right?! Saylor LOVES ponies so we threw her a derby inspired party smack dab in the hottest month of the year! 😉 Thanks to my fab team who helped pull it all together: The beautiful blooms from RLOVE floral, photography by Jacqueline Spivey, rentals from Taylors Fort Worth, the vintage Shasta turned very cool photo booth by Photo Wagon, the sweetest little white pony ever from Ewe Pets, cake and mini donuts from Cakewalk Bake Shop and beautiful paper and invitation suite from Caroline Creates. Of course, the party was planned and designed by mommy, Grit + Gold. Party décor hunted and gathered from the OH JOY! line, TomKat Studio,  and Poppytalk.
Sarah + Eric’s engagement session at White Rock Lake
We cannot wait for Sarah + Eric’s wedding this weekend at McKinney Cotton Mill. They are simply the sweetest, most laid back couple ever. Cheers to a great start to 2014! And thank you to Matt + Julie for the beautiful images.
Our Camping Styled Shoot with Charla Storey Photography
Each year we document how our little family changes. I try to style something that relates to our family, things we enjoy to capture the essence of who we are as people. This year we partnered with Charla Storey Photography and Rent My Dust Vintage to pull together a simple camping shoot complete with a campfire, cocoa and roasting marshmallows. Favs of our family when the cold weather moves in. Tis the season to be thankful.

Tis the season
Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love our new tradition getting our cars all “dolled” up for mini sessions. This year we partnered with Charla Storey Photography and Caroline Creates to bring on the holidays with Bowtie Vintage Classics. I thought I would share one family that seriously rocked it!
Southwest Baby Shower for Caroline Creates
As soon as I heard Sweet Caroline was expecting another little girl, I knew we had to throw her a special shower. Caroline loves american indian decor and had decided to do the baby’s (name is a secret) room in navajo prints and patterns. With adorable details starting with lots of patterns, handmade treats, and ending with a fabulous custom tent. One of my favorite parts was the hoop station where each guest picked a fabric and made a hoop to be hung in baby’s room. So sweet!
