Fort Worth, TX — Locally owned Grit + Gold is a wedding one stop shop, including all the necessary talent for creating beautiful weddings. After months of preparation, Grit + Gold has opened doors to the public. This design studio is one of kind, with fresh new concepts geared to the eclectic, organic, artsy, and “outside the box” brides.

Grit + Gold is the first wedding collective to hit Fort Worth turf. With a simple concept in mind, the shop will provide everything under one roof including: vintage transportation, planning & design, photography, floral design, custom paper, and cinematography.

Owner, Lottie Fowler says, “We desperately wanted to bring something new to our clients. So partnering with some of the freshest talents in the biz was an easy decision to make.”

With a combined industry knowledge and experience exceeding 30 years, this wedding A-Team is ready to take Dallas-Fort Worth by storm. The team’s accolades are impressive with local, national and international recognition for quality. Grit + Gold is setting a benchmark for style and service.

“OH deer” ~ A Christmas styled shoot

This is the first shoot in our new design studio with our Grit + Gold team. Inspired for Christmas, our shoot’s setting and feel was winter woodsy. Touches of antlers can be found throughout from stationery and centerpieces, to the unbelievably beautiful antler and floral head piece. We had fun designing the setups which included a cocoa display and champagne bar. The sweet treats were the perfect feel of handmade goodness that evokes the feeling of “home”.

On Cloud Nine with Bows and Arrows and nbarrett photography

When we pulled together to think up the Cloud 9 shoot, it was a must to incorporate all things heavenly. We wanted soft textured touches in the floral and details throughout to give a feel of floating on a cloud. From the hanging tabletop to the lush floral cloud above, this shoot encompasses all that is whimsy and romantic. Yes that is an actual cloud!! A dreamy, predominate white background was chosen while weaving gold and hues of pink all in an ombre’d effect. A dip dyed muslin runner was DIY’d and pooled on each side of the table, which coordinated so lovely with the cascading ribbons from above. Both tying beautifully into a matching ombre invitation suite. And you cannot fail to notice the wonderfully constructed floral head piece, bouquet and cotton boutonnières. Desserts were carefully chosen and display the soft touches and flavors of a croquembouche cake, mini waffles, staked crepe cake, meringue puffs, and mini cotton candy puffs. Our cute couple played and laughed while sipping from their “Love Floats”.
