Sarah + Chris | DeGolyer House – Dallas Aboretum
Can a client’s style be your spirit animal?! If so, I think mine would definitely be Sarah. From the moment we met, I knew that our collected wedding vision was completely parallel. I truly enjoyed every minute of our time together and this design for their Dallas Arboretum wedding. It was just so natural and she was open to pushing each and every boundary.
The ceremony took place in the woman’s garden of the Dallas Arboretum where Bows & Arrows hand crafted an altar of birch wood logs, twisted chiffon and loose greenery. Bridesmaids wore stunning gold lace assembles which perfectly complimented the bride’s gown with lace neckline and cap sleeves. Sarah wanted the day and night to feel organic, soft and romantic so we went with bare rustic tables, lush vessel free florals that almost felt to be growing from the tables. We kept the design clean and not overly busy so that the Degolyer House really shined as the showcase. The night was all about family style dining, fun with friends and enjoying their precious commitment. We are so honored and humbled to have been a part of Sarah and Chris’ Dallas Arboretum wedding.

Sarah + Jeremy’s romantic Fort Worth wedding
They say it’s never a good idea to date a roommate but that didn’t stop Sarah & Jeremy from testing the water. After meeting one night while out for drinks with friends, Jeremy, who was new to the area, mentioned he was looking for a place to live. As luck would have it, Sarah was in the market for another roommate and soon enough, the new friends and their sweet dogs were roomies. Two months into their new living situation they began dating and a short year later, they were engaged!
The ceremony was held at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and the couple’s first-look photos took place in the Cactus Garden. Sarah looked like a princess complete with tulle skirt and a floral crown of ranunculus, ferns and sea holly placed perfectly over her romantic fishtail braid. Sarah held a dreamy bouquet filled with white spirea, clematis and snapdragons with pale pink roses, berry scabiosas and even an artichoke.
After saying their vows in the Fuller Garden, the party headed over to 809 at Vickery where the floral theme continued. Golden candlesticks and chargers were accented with floral table numbers and place settings. Sweet buds created a whimsical backdrop for the dessert table holding some of the couple’s favorites like German Chocolate and Confetti Cake. Guests not only sipped on local Texas brews, but also enjoyed a few Kansas originals as an ode to Jeremy’s Midwestern roots. The adorable blue and white Photo Wagon and amazing band kept family and friends laughing throughout the evening.
Guests bid the newlyweds adieu in an entanglement of streamers before they headed off to their Jamaican honeymoon.
Natural Backyard Setting with Bows & Arrows
We are so excited to share a peek at the intimate setup for Abby & Phil from a couple weekends ago. Images captured so beautifully by Charla Storey!! The couple held an 80 person ceremony and reception in their Dallas home. We sourced wood tables from Shag Carpet, metal elio chairs from AFR, fabulous vintage and mid century furniture from Juniper, and all tableware from Big D Party and Posh Couture. The design was all about keeping in flowing and natural; greens were foraged to purpose as backdrop to bride and grooms cakes from La Duni and ceremony backdrop with simple West Elm rug as altar point. We brought in deep navy with our BBJ linen runners and napkins and pulled together a simple smore’s setup using the couple’s already existing fire pit. Custom cocktails provided by Mr. Bartending were a huge hit with guests! And everyone mingled the night away under twinkling café lights by RO Entertainment. And of course who can resist blooms by Bows & Arrows!
